Lee D. Wark, Age 64 of 101 Lincoln Street, Sayre, Pennsylvania passed away at home Friday, September 3, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Born January 12, 1946 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania the son of James S. and Melba Reider Wark.
Lee graduated from Quakertown High School in 1964. He was a Navy veteran serving his country from 1966 to 1969. He attended Paul Smith's College in the fall of 1970 and graduated from Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pa. in 1974 with a BS in Business Administration. Lee was the Director of Material Systems Material Management at Guthrie Healthcare System from 1986 to the present.
Lee enjoyed hunting at his cabin in Chemung NY and fishing on his boat on the Finger Lakes. He especially enjoyed playing cards on Thursday night and going out to dinner with his special friends.
Lee is survived by his wife of 18 years Jane Havens Wark who he married on July 28, 1992. Mother Melba Reider Wark of Lutheran Community Continuing Care Center, Telford, Pa. Son Lee (Nikki Sue) Wark Flanigan of Limington, ME. Stepsons Christopher (Tracy) McCutcheon of Sayre, Pa. and John (Jayna) McCutcheon II of Athens, Pa. Grandchildren Alicia and Austin Flanigan of Limington, ME, Chelsea McCutcheon of Sayre, Pa. and Madylyn and Morgan McCutcheon of Athens, Pa. Brother Terry (Nancy) Wark of Quakertown, Pa. Brother-in-laws Douglas (Diana) Havens of Athens, Pa., Harry (Patricia) Havens of Waverly, NY and Mark (Sophia) Havens of Cape Canaveral, Fl. Sister-in-law Lucy Havens of Athens, Pa. Nephew James Wark of S. Waverly, Pa. Niece Michelle Mancini of Mary Mount, Pa.
Lee is predeceased by his father James S. Wark in 1990 and brother-in-law LaVerne Havens.
A time for gathering with family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, New York. The celebration of Lee's life will be held at the funeral home 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2010. The family will provide flowers.
Burial will be held in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa.
