Richards, Paullena

Paullena Richards 99 of 488 Cayuta St, Waverly NY passed away on Monday May 10, 2010 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre Pa.

Paullena was born on January 17, 1911 in Halsey Valley NY the daughter of her late parents William and Lillian Grippen Leroy.

She married the love of her life Horace (Huck) Richards on January 24, 1931.

Paullena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be greatly missed.

Paullena is survived by son Leland Richards of Lockwood NY. Daughter Viola Barton of Barton NY. Grandchildren: Larry Richards of Lockwood NY, Bonnie (Jon) Rice of Waverly NY, Richard (Kim) Barton of Waverly NY, and Cheryl Richards of Lockwood NY. Great-Grandchildren: Sean Richards of Florida, Shelia Richards of Maryland, Amy Forbes of Waverly, NY, and Erika (Brian) Howard of Kenmore NY. Six great-great grandchildren, a niece, nephews and their families.

Paullena is predeceased by her husband Horace twin sister Pearllena Ellison and sister Ellen Witteman.

A graveside service will be held on Friday May 14, 2010 at 1:00 PM in Glenwood Cemetery, Waverly NY. Rev. Dr. Cynthia Huling Hummel of the Waverly First Presbyterian Church will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stray Haven Humane Society 194 Shepard Road, Waverly, NY 14892 in Paullena's name.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Blauvelt Funeral Home 625 Broad St., Waverly NY.
