Biography

Flick, Charles R. 

 Charles R."Charlie" Flick 67 of 5427 Wolcott Hollow Road, Athens Township passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday December 8, 2009 at home.

Charles was born on March 4, 1942 in Elmira, NY the son of Charles W. and Orpha Flick.

Charlie married the love of his life Judy Smith on February 18, 1967

Charlie attended Sayre Schools and served in the US Navy.

After retireing form the Ingersoll Rand in Athens he went to work at Williams Toyota and was employed there until the time of his death.

He enjoyed bowling on the Monday morning Senior League, spending time working in the yard, cutting wood, being at the barn, and going to work at Williams.

Most of all he loved being with his grandchildren, attending their sporting events and just being the 'best grandpa'. His family and friends were his life.

He's survived by his wife Judy at home, son Terry at home, daughter Tracy (Chuck) Thomas of Athens. His mother, Orpha Flick of Sayre, sister Rachel (Norm) Davis, of Hinsdale, brothers, Art (Barb) Flick, and Bob (Jayne) Flick of Sayre. Grandaughters Amanda and Brittney Thomas and grandson Tyler-Edwards Flick.

Also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews and many friends.

Charlie is predeaseced by his father Charles and Aunts and Uncles.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday December 10, 2009 from 4-6 PM at the Blauvelt Funeral Home 625 Broad St, Waverly NY.

Funeral services will be held at the end of calling hours at 6:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor James Donahoo of the Sayre Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be held on Friday December 11, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, Pa. with full military honors being accorded.
