Irene M. (Shulis) Novotny

Age 88, of S.East St Sayre,Pa, passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday June 14 at Robert Packer Hospital.Irene was predeceased by husband Frank and brother John Shaulis. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Jean at home, son Paul Novotny (Mary), daughter Julie Colon (George), son George Novotny ( Maryann),daughter Chloe Gray (Dave), and son Perry Novotny (Rita) all living locally. Irene had 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She was a dedicated volunteer at Sayre Hospitality for 20 yrs. She was also a member of the North Waverly Chapel and the Handicapped Assoc.She also was previously employed at Sayre House (housekeeping). Irene loved her flower gardens and doing plastic canvas. Most important to her were her family and friends and she will be missed dearly.We Love You.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2009 from 11 AM -1PM at the Blauvelt Funeral Home 625 Broad St., Waverly NY.

Funeral services will follow calling hours at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor William Wells officiating.

Burial will be held in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens Pa.
