Lattimer, Jack L. 

 Jack Louis Lattimer, age 69, of 4876 Centerville Rd, Sayre, PA passed away on April 18, 2009 with his family at his side. Jack was born October 31, 1939 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. Jack was a life long resident of Sayre during his childhood and adult life. Jack married Beverly A. Blauvelt on August 27, 1960. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Beverly (Blauvelt) Lattimer at home, two daughters Robin and Larry Wing of Knoxville Tennessee, Joyce and Leon Pollock of Athens, Pennsylvania, and son Stephen Lattimer of Sayre, Pennsylvania, his loving grandchildren Melissa and Amanda Pollock, Kristin Wing and Stephen Lattimer, and one very special great grandson Aidyn Pollock-Sinsabaugh, (pronounced Eden by his Grampa), his sisters Marlene Enlow of Sayre, PA and Janice and Bill McNeal of Virginia Beach, VA. Special friends Kenny and Lanna Wolcott, Duane and Naomi Wolcott, and Ed and Doris Ferguson all of Sayre, Pa. Jack was predeceased by his parents Louis and Margaret (Peg) Lattimer, sister Beverly King, brothers Robert Paul Lattimer and Richard (Dick) Lattimer. Jack loved hunting and camping with family and friends and spending his winters in Frost Proof, Florida with his loving wife Beverly. Jack was especially fond of making "redneck" dough-baby biscuits over many campfires while camping or at gatherings held at many backyard picnics. Jack was a former Marine serving our country from 1958 to 1964 as a Military Police stationed in Hawaii. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, Jack worked as a machine setup person for the former Thatcher Glass (now Anchor-Hocking) in Elmira, NY. Jack retired after 39-1/2 years of employment. A time of gathering with family and friends for visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday April 22, 2009 and Thursday April 23, 2009 from 10 am to 11 AM at the Blauvelt Funeral Home, 625 Broad Street, Waverly, NY Funeral services will be held at the end of calling hours at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.. Burial with full military honors will be held Thursday, April 23, 2009 in Tioga Point Cemetery in Athens, Pa with a burial site service. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Wilawana United Methodist Church in care of Pam Secrist, 5430 Vetter Rd., Sayre, PA 18840.
