Mr. Blauvelt the owner of the Blauvelt Funeral Home is a licensed Funeral Director in New York State and the State of Pennsylvania with over 40 years experience in the funeral industry. He has training in all aspects of Funeral Service & specializes in Pre-Arrangement, Pre-Funding & Funeral Trust Accounts. Mr. Blauvelt has been married for over 38 years and has 3 grown sons and 7 adorable grandchildren. He was born in Waverly, New York, attended college in Syracuse, New York, worked for the Barrett Funeral Home in Elmira, New York, Smith & Fudge Funeral Home in Elmira, New York and Cumming Funeral Service in Watertown, New York before settling back to the valley area in March of 1976. Mr. Blauvelt is joined by an experienced staff of funeral assistants, retired clergy, grounds keepers and drivers just to mention a few. The employees help with a variety of tasks and are available to help with all arrangements that need to be made. Most of the staff have served Blauvelt Funeral Home for many years and have help to create the loving and caring family atmosphere that is so helpful during this very difficult time.
